Front passenger door handle doesnt work from outside. Anyone got a fix?

Ironic story to this. I had an 88 740 at one point, hadnt put a dime into it in 3year. 1 hr after I picked up a 1996 850, the fuel pump goes ( was going to the scrapper anyways).

Go to buy a v70 yesterday, stop to get the money, my buddy gets out of the car to have a smoke. We both come back to the car, he cant open the door from the outside.

Do volvo's get upset when you buy other cars? weird coincidences considerign I drive like 40,000kms per year.

anyhow, how do I fix this door on the 2003 xc70, any panel removal instructions etc?

There's a .pdf in the resources section on removing the door panel. As far as linkage....just have to see what you can see I guess!!

Here are my directions (See Rusty Rear Door Stop) when I did the rear door panels. You can see what you will find behind the panel at least on the rear door.
