Hi. Apologies if this is a fairly basic question, but if one spends too much time reading posts on this forum, one can become paranoid about their transmission (though admittedly on earlier models).
We have a 2007 with about 14000 miles on it. Sometimes when I start the car and put it into Drive quickly, the transmission seems to delay before engaging... maybe 1-2 seconds. I recognize this only happens when I am in a rush, and try to start, shift and pull away quickly, but my only other experience with an auto transmission is with a Honda which doesn't seem to react this way.
Anyway... blah... blah... but is this something I should get checked out, or is this to be expected if I shifted and tried to pull away too quickly?
