Hi everyone.

My 2001 has seen better days.

Has anyone ever have this brake off from the right side rear spindle, its a solid peace of aluminum cast in one pace, it was found broken in an inspection after a repair from a left side impact that spun the car 180 deg. the repair guy said that he couldīnt possibly get the repair for the hub past the insurance company claims officer, so I am stuck with a +1000$ spindle replacement, or do you think it can be welded or drilled and bolted back on, any thoughts.

Regards

If your car was just in an accident, I dont see why the insurance wouldnt cover it. Anything within 10 feet of that accident is fair game. call your insurance company, you'll be suprised.

Thank you santon, I tried.

It happened about a year ago, and at the time the fault was diagnosed older than the accident and the piece might have bean jolted loose by the impact, and all things considered I am sorry to say that I am inclined to agree with them, it looked older.

I have no idea how it got broken, there shouldn't be any tourqe or force on that thing.
