Went on a Saturday drive last weekend on Rollins Pass Rd. I have lots more pics, these just highlight the trip. If anyone wants to see some of the others let me know.
Anywho on with the adventure . . .
june 7 about 2:30 pm
Heres a shot not too far from the start of the road. Overall the road is drivable just very, very bumpy. No contest for the XC [cool2]

A couple of shots on the way up. First weekend of june and there is plenty of snow to be had. :D

This is as far as I could go. Someone had been stuck in this spot since 3 am and took 3 other 4x4's to pull them out over the course of the morning.

So it was time to unpack the bike and snowshoes and head up on foot.

After this 7 ft +/- drift i dumped the bike. Got tired of fighting it over the snow.

The main reason one can't drive the road yet. Lots of snow still.

The road does go through here, its just under who knows how much snow. You can see the footprints to the right of the pic. I went to the left up the side of the mtn.

Got to the top finally! The elevation is about 11,500 +/- ft on this mtn. This pic is facing east. On a really clear day you could see Denver.

Facing north. Awsome views.

Had to come down. The diagram shows roughly the route I took.

Made it back in one piece. Time to pack up and head down.

A nice slushy snow patch
http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll223/PaperToast/IMG_0807.jpg
Well . . . what can I say, I couldnt resist :D
http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll223/PaperToast/IMG_0811.jpg
Almost to the end of the road.
http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll223/PaperToast/IMG_0814.jpg
I Plan on going up again prolly in july sometime to try and get further up the road and maybe to the end as far as you can drive. I'll try to get pics from that trip too.
If any of the denver area folks here on the forum try to go up let me know about the conditions up there that would be great [thumbup]
