OEM Skid Plates for 2002

I'm wanting to install the factory front/rear skid plates from the later 2005 - 2007 on my 2002 XC. I've searched all over these forums to only find info on the rear alluminum (smaller) skid plate. I no it's silly, but I'm wanting the plastic (larger) covers that the new ones had factory.

Are these available for the 2002 XC model or is this cosmetic difference built into the entire bumper? I'm simply wanting the look and would like the larger factor style to cover more visible area of the bumper.

I think it's built into the bumper itself.

Can anyone with a newer year verify if these front and rear silver plates are part of the bumper?

I'm guessing it would be 2005 - 2007 XC. Thanks.

There's a cosmetic/silver plate and there's also a functional plate that mounts under the engine compartment. Last I checked, the real plates ran about $230.

I know the rear bumper on my 01 is different in appearance with the way the newer bumpers are molded. I do not think it would work. I did install the rear plate designed for the 01 and it looks pretty good dressing up the rear.

We had the silver plastic plate on front of our '07 replaced, due to damage when it was first delivered. The part is definitely replacable separate from the rest of the bumper.

Yes, the protection plates on the MY2005-2007 are separate but I also understand that the older front bumper requires some modification in order to retrofit the part.
