Just noted my right rear leaking. ANyone change these? If so, how painful is it to change? How do you access the top mount (I am assuming removal of rea rinterior panels)? Thanks.

No responses on three forums...

Did some hands on research this evening, this may be of use for someone in the future.

I have a 3 row xc90. I accessed the rear shock by:

1) tucking away the third row seat
2) pulling the carpet in the same area forward to reveal the sound deadening layer
3) pulled the sound deadening layer forward as well

**another option at this point is to cut a hole in the sound deadening, but that would be less elegant.

This reveals an oval plastic cap which is glued to the top of the shock mount. Remove this, then another plastic cap, and voila, there's the top of the shock. Plan on changing it tomorrow.
