Most transmission discussions seemed to be related to ATF flush or shift-flare, but I've got a different question.
My '05 @41K miles seems to have a premature (up)shifting into 5th gear. It shifts up to 4th fine, as expected, then it goes into 5th a bit too early and I can feel it in how the car moves. Similarly, when downshifting, it stays in 5th a little too long. I don't recall this symptom when I got the car @ 37K miles. All this is in the automatic mode.
I can see how the auto mode is set up to save fuel, but am I the only one with this symptom? Any of the software upgrade take care of this?
I do use manual mode once in a while in somewhat 'spirited mode' when the condition allows it, but generally I do not drive it hard at all in auto mode.
