dead battery

so, my 2002 xc70 battery died after two weeks without starting the car. now i need to jump it. but there is no key entry to the tailgate, and because the battery's dead the central locks don't work. how can i jump the battery from another car, or do i just have to buy a new one? thanks for any help.

If you read your owners manual, you will find that there are remote jump terminals under the hood. the positive is a long stud under a plastic cover by the fuse box, the negative is anywhere else.

great, thanks. i stopped at the "how to open the tailgate" page because i just assumed that one had to connect to the battery to jump it. i will do my research a bit more diligently next time.
