Clicking noise when I turn

Help!

Any ideas what a clicking noise would be that is audible at low speeds when I turn? It started happening a few days ago.

Is it dangerous? I assume it is the CV boot/Cv joint right? Could it be anything else?

Are you getting the noise when you turn the wheel all the way and does it only happen turning in one direction? I had such a clicking noise that proved to be the result of a dent in the dust shield that protects the rotor causing the shield to rub in certain turns. Got rid of it with a quick bending back into place with a pliers.
