I just returned from a year deployed to Afghanistan/Pakistan and discovered that my wife's XC70 has what looks like mud stains on the plastic trim, a little old wax and some yellow paint spots. I have read the thread on "wax on the trim", but curious if there is some more product advice out there. Thanks in advance.

I've used 3M adhesive remover and denatured alcohol on our 05XC70, but there are some stains that I can't seem to remove with chemicals. I have found that 303 applied liberally hides whatever I can't remove and provides an almost new appearance.

PS Welcome back

Skipper,

Oil Eater Degreaser (http://www.oileater.com/CleanerDegreaser.html)or Purple Power Degreaser (http://www.clean-rite.com/8BA6A63D422E4C97A44E6C765FDA0FFB.asp?cat_id=D1DB07 C5EE334DDB9CA4877C260DE4E7&pcs_key=E82E5235EBE542888CB84450C1145F56&retpage=%2F38244E3B5419490FAE195D18161C5B9D%2Easp&nm=Purple+Power+Cleaner&spath=Home+%3E+Industrial+Cleaners&path=Home+%3E+Industrial+Cleaners&sc_id=)will remove both. I also use Pinnacle XMT Polishing Pad Cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/xmt-pad-cleaner.html)to remove wax stains alone (available from AutoGeek.net (http://www.autogeek.net/xmt-pad-cleaner.html)).
