View Full Version : Brake feedback in shifter?

this may be a figment of my imagination, but

Someone else had been driving my car and ... and as I started up this morning and with the car running , but in "P", when I touched the foot brake, I could feel feedback in the shifter. I don't feel this when the car is off. Is this typical -- did I just never notice this in the 3.5 years (almost trouble-free) I have owned this car? Or is the tranny just going to fail me when I am in the middle of the wilderness?

Thanks for any information ... or any psychological advice.

That's the "Shift Lock" function. Totally normal. [thumbup]
One has to apply the brakes before shifting out of "Park".
