Hi , and apologies I know this has been covered , but cant find again. I had a FM modulator installed for my ipod, sounded terrible, so have taken out and will order a USA Spec unit. But my SMS airbag light is on . Having it rectified by Volvo service tomorrow $$$. Can anyone advise when I get the USA Spec PA11 installed , how can it be done without tiggering the SMS fault again. Hoping I can get a unit sent to New Zealand. for my XC70 2003 [happy]

When installing the USA-Spec Ipod adaptor, it's not necessary
to disconnect the climate control module. From what I've read,
disconnecting it can trigger the airbag warning light. So just
slide it out carefully and move it out of the way, but don't
disconnect any wires.

I installed my USA Spec without unplugging the CCM. I also installed my Bluetooth by unplugging the CCM, but in that case, I had disconnected the battery first. Then, per the Volvo instructions, reconnected the battery with the key in position 1 (I'm pretty sure it's 1). Never had an issue with air bag lights afterwards.
