Volvo Records Eighth-Straight Month of Year-Over-Year Sales Increases

U.S. sales up 42 percent for January; Canada sales up nearly 39 percent for January

ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (Feb. 2, 2010) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) January sales were up 41.9 percent in the United States, marking the eighth-straight month of a year-over-year increase. In the United States, VCNA sold a total of 4,128 vehicles in January.

For the month of January, Volvo sales in Canada were up an impressive 38.5 percent with a total of 396 vehicles sold.

Continuing to contribute to Volvo's sales success is the Volvo Safe + Sound Coverage Plan. A complimentary coverage program, the Safe + Sound Coverage Plan wraps a comprehensive list of benefits into one package. Volvo has combined additional time and mileage limits on warranty repairs and roadside assistance coverage, and has increased wear-item and factory scheduled maintenance coverage. Specifically, it provides:

* 5 years/60,000 miles of Complimentary Factory Scheduled Maintenance
* 5 years/60,000 miles of Wear and Tear Coverage
