seems to be somewhere around a 5-10% discount/rebate
not much but I suppose better than nothing.

Frankly, you can get both the VCOA discount and promotional rebate to save more money. What's the annual membership fee for VCOA?

~$30 - Quite a steal.
As members we also got a $500 rebate from VCNA that the dealer wasn't even aware of...AAA, too.

I think they do this every year as summer is approaching. The rebates help bring the price of their accesories in line with third party items. For example, REI recently had a sale on Yakima Cargo Boxes and the prices there were comparable with the Volvo Cargo box after rebate.
