Quote tool

I notice that some quotes list the user name and date/time of the cited material: how do I do this please? I'm currently using the iB code button and cutting/pasting text, and all that appears is the text...

Click the "QUOTE" box to capture the complete posting and then when your reply box appears enter your reply. Move down this page a little and you will see what you've quoted -- just edit this as you wish via highlighting and cutting. That should do it. For example I did this to your orig post (cut out some of it) and above is what results.

You can experiment with this post -- I don't mind

Thanks guys. One thing I notice is that if you preview the post, the quoted text gets inserted but doesn't actually appear in the preview pane. Hitting preview again causes the final version to appear...

Lets see if this quote works
