Red face Coming out of the closet

After 14 years, we traded in our MY2004 XC70 and drove home with a MY2018 XC90.
So stricktly speaking I don't belong here anymore, but I would like to stick around

Don't see why you cannot 'stick around'?
I am sure that there will be a section for this model set up soon.

There already is a subforum for the new XC90, but it's very, very quiet there.

Those owners don't even know about this site much less SS and the others.
After they become 5-6 years old then maybe.....

Om SS all they do is complain about the Sensus and when their XC willl get off the boat and to the dealer, batteries draining, etc instead of going to their dealer.
Not sure they understand what "Bumper to Bumper" warranty means!

You are right, this site or SS isn't known very much. Unfortunate, especially about this site,
I have yet to find a better forum!
There is indeed a lot of complaining on SS, although the trend now leans towards less
critical issues, hopefully a sign that most serious problems are taken care of by now.

Willy, I would enjoy hearing updates to your owner experience, from driving impressions (specifically pilot assist, headlights) to DIY maintenance. I had a 2001 P2 (good for 256k) and briefly considered a MY2018 v90CC (are those P4s or ???) but with needing to budget for my child's college expenses, I opted for a 2011 P3. Bring on the stories....
2001 XC70 256k timing belt tensioner failure 5/17 = premature end to great road trip car
    2011 XC70 T6 acquired 6/17 at 47k from owner #1

I will do that, but perhaps better in the XC subforum
