    Default 18 x 7 Atlantis on 05 XC70

    Anyone have any experience with fit of 18 x 7 Atlantis on XC70s. I have S60awd springs and was thinking about getting these rims with some 235/50/18 or 235/55/18 tires. Thoughts on will they fit or rub. I could go with 17" pegs. Looking for some good all season tires. Comments would be welcome!!!

    Yes i have them on my 05 XC70. You will need to buy 67.1mm to 63.4mm hub centric rings which ran about $20 for a set of 4, so really cheap. And 235/50R18 is the size i have.

    Here's mine with 18" wheels.

    Picture was taken prior to changing the front suspension. It now sits 2" higher than pictured. Not as good looking now... but we were nearly 200k so everything had to be changed.

    I have aftermarket Atlantis wheels on mine. Bought them on eBay. Surprisingly, I didn't need hubcentric rings - they fit on the hub perfectly. I think the wheel pilot holes are 63.4mm, not the 67.1 on xc90 takeoffs. I'm running 235/50R18 tires. I would go with 225/50R18 next time. My V is lowered 3 inches. I have a tiny bit of rubbing at full lock on the front.

    ALSO: I installed 15mm spacers in the rear to eliminate the tucked-in look.

    Much, much better traction and stability with the drop and wider low-profile tires. Maybe took a little hit in mpg and acceleration, but not much.

    First pic is with my old snow tires, and right after the lowering springs were installed. The springs have settled in and dropped an inch since then.

    Second pic is stock height, before lowering springs;

    2007 XC70 Lowered 3" with S60AWD springs, V70R sway bars, 18" Atlantis rims, 12" big brake upgrade, JRL resonator mod, IPD skid plate, tweaked wastegate pushrod, stupid fast.

    I am currently running Camulus from an XC90 on my XC with 235/50-18 Pirelli P-Zeros. I have hub centering rings and am OK with it. I've debated seeing if the car rides any different with a non-hub centering ring wheel, but the thought of dismounting and then re-mounting the Pirellis make me grind my teeth...
