    Default Check Engine Light

A couple of days ago I started my 2016 XC60 with the T6 engine and the "check engine " light came on. I did not have power steering or brakes. I shut off the engine and after about 20 seconds started it again. This time the light did not come on and power returned to my steering and brakes. So far after two days of driving this problem has not reoccurred. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this problem.

Is your T6 the Drive-E front wheel drive version? I have a 2016 S60 Drive-E FWD and when the car is stopped and brake pressure is maintained the engine shuts off until the brake is released. I haven't had occasion to check whether in that state it loses power steering but I would guess it does...of course that wouldn't explain your loss of brake pressure.

No, 2016 XC60 has the venerable T6 six cylinder engine. Only did this once. Service manager said it was some kind of software clitch. Will see if it happens again.
