Just made a attempt at the fronts today. The knuckle needs to come off. You can not drop the suspension down enough to side the strut up out of the knuckle.
Vida show them removing axle bolt and ball joint bolt.
Pull the ball joint out of the knuckle and push the axle in.
This allows you to slide the knuckle down off of the strut.
Then unbolt the strut mount at the top and remove strut assembly.
Of course they don't show you how to support the whole knuckle assembly with the entire brake assembly still attached.
I plan on removing the caliper then removing the strut and knuckle together and separate them off the car.
Will need new axle bolts as they are torque angle bolts.
