Default update to my tranny problem

I took my 2003 xc70 to a local small time volvo shop my father in law recommended.

He drove it and said it needs a servo kit and he's going to change the tranny fluid (even tho i just had it done at the dealership 2 or 3 months ago) but that's fine... said kit is 40 bucks plus the tranny fluid.

it was clunking and not shifting at the right times causing over reving.

I think it's worth the risk on that before I drop money on a new transmission.

anyone have experience with a situation like this and did it work?

    The B4 servo cover.

Search the threads, lots of discussion... Might fix 3-4 shift flare but not all that you describe. What gears are flaring and/or clunking in yours?

    Yes, it's worth doing.

jrl always tries to be negative and talk down to people, that's why he chose that one instead of the obvious... it's cool. thanks for the help guys.
