Default swapping V70XC suspension parts with V70R (compatibility questions)?

I have a 99 V70XC with about 150K and the suspension has never been replaced. the suspension is in awful shape. the strut top hat bearings are broken and the strut moves around (causing some crazy camber shifts and tire wear). I have been strapped for cash and my wife has just had to just put up with it until now.
I have replaced some of the the common problems this car is know for (throttle body, drive shaft, ball joints, mounts). I do have a slight leak coming from the steering rack, but the engine and trans seem to be in solid condition (except for the trans mount, but I'll replace that while doing this suspension job).
I think for better or worse, committed to this car for the time being, so I want to make it more fun to drive for my wife (I drive a track prepped WRX, but mainly ride my bike)...

From what I gather, The V70R Suspension is lower and compatible with the XC. I have not found a specific thread where someone swapped all R parts in an XC, but over at V70R.com, it seems some have swapped xc parts to raise their R's.
Is anyone aware of any incompatibility issues?
I want to maximize my time and realize just about everything suspension related should be replaced (I've did ball joints as a temporary, "I don't want my kids to die in a fiery wreck" fix).
my wife really likes to corner, So I want to get her a sporty suspension, but I don't want to deal with coilovers and gettin' "hellaflush" is not important to me.

Right now my plan is to go with bilstein touring struts, R springs, IPD HD mounts
    http://www.ipdusa.com/products/9214/...50-s70-v70-c70

here's my parts list for IPD:
    120610 Front Strut Kit - Bilstein/IPD HD/OEM - P80 850 S70 V70 C70 1 X $611.40 = $611.40
    113903 Nivomat Replacement Shock S70 V70 AWD 2 X $266.49 = $532.98
    104743 Front Lower Control Arm Right 850 S70 V70 1 X $45.32 = $45.32
    104742 Front Lower Control Arm Left 850 S70 V70 1 X $45.32 = $45.32
    114648 Right Tie Rod End - 960 S90 V90 850 S70 V70 C70 1 X $33.49 = $33.49
    114649 Left Tie Rod End - 960 S90 V90 850 S70 V70 C70 1 X $33.49 = $33.49

    Also, grabbing:

    112407 Transmission Torque Mount 1998-2000 S70 V70 AWD 1 X $58.00 = $58.00
    120168 IPD Poly Subframe Bushing Insert Kit 1 X $68.95 = $68.95
    105890 Front Engine Mount 1 X $39.56 = $39.56
    113947 Right Engine Mount 1999-2000 S70 V70 AWD 1 X $65.30 = $65.30
    112371 Rear Engine Mount S70 V70 AWD 1 X $46.32 = $46.32
    115487 OE Front Passenger Window Switch C70 V70 S70 1 X $39.81 = $39.81
    104740 Oil Filter 3 Pack with Drain Plug Washers 1 X $14.95 = $14.95

I still need to figure out what springs to use (I'm not trying to slam it, just make it sportier) and source some v70R sway bars.

comments, criticisms or advice is appreciated! I don't mind spending a bit more to save in the long run (if even just time, that's become more valuable)

    Default

After a bit of help from the guys over at v70r.com I have a bit better idea of what I am doing.
I am going to basically go with the V70 lowered chassis parts, but put higher performance front struts and HD mounts from IPD.

I wish someone made a good aftermarket top hat, that is what has failed on my current suspension, so it seems to be the "weak point" the mounts look flimsy too. you'll notice all camber plates on coil overs are much thicker (for good reason, but also make for a much hasher ride). It's too easy to source parts for the wrx, you don't even have to try...

I am on the fence about going with the Bilstein Touring or the KONI front shocks. I am looking for the most tame ride with improved performance. I already have a car that hurts my kidneys to drive...

If you want the actual lowered chassis R suspension parts here are the part numbers:
    Front struts: 9173850
    Rear shocks: 8626025
    Front springs: 3546641
    Rear springs: 9200184

fingers crossed everything bolts right up and is balanced!

Koni yellows are my favorite for if nothing else THEY ARE ADJUSTABLE!
Start on position 1 or 2 and go from there
You can only use them on the front but they match up with Nivomats very well
