Default What do you think of this leak? Pictures.

My front differential(angle/bevel gear???) is leaking oil where the CV shaft goes into it. I have a wet film all over the housing. I have a dealer purchased warranty that expires this month so I'm thinking this should be corrected. If it is seeping now it will only get worse with time. What do you guys think:

Yeah duh! It was almost 4am and I was dead tired when I posted. It is a 2004 XC70 with 85,000 miles on it.

You are right that you might end up with a leak. I look at a number of AWD volvos and that is a very very clean one. I do not see a wet leak.
There two seals there. The one that is visible in photo that seals the ring gear carrier shaft end and the one that is out of view that drives into ring gear carrier shaft end and seals the RH axle shaft. If the residue has the distinct odor of gear oil then it is the outer seal. If the fluid has no particular odor then it is the inner seal leaking a little auto trans fluid.
It does not appear that the angle gear seam is leaking.

It looks better than mine...and mine doesn't change appreciably between oil changes...
