We have just bought ourselves the MY2012 XC70 T6 (see my signature for more details). WE had the MY2003 XC70 but sold it to our son last year. We then bought the MY2011 C30 R-Design but after a year found it too small for our needs, The C30 R-Design was truly a nice performing car and I was sad to let it go.

The MY2012 XC70 is a vast improvement over the MY2003 XC70 for us. Yes, it's heavier and more luxurious and the XC70+T6+Polestar is a dream combo. There's just no effort driving this wagon about as the T6 engine at 325 HP has plenty to give. With WOT the T6 engine sounds glorious

We loaded our build-to-order XC70 T6 with many options right from the get-go and we are very pleased with everything. The front & rear cameras are a big bonus for us. The front one has already helped us avoid some nasty situations with cars, peds, pets and cyclists.

We absolutely love the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). It has worked flawlessly so far and is easy to operate.

There are numerous safety features built into the Technology package and we find them helpful rather than annoying. Overall, it makes us safer drivers IMO.

Our auto Insurance premium fell considerably when we switched to the MY2012 XC70 T6.

The 18" wheels that come standard with the T6 make the car look much more balanced, and looked good also.

We were lucky as my dealership agreed to upgrade our T6 with the Polestar (Port installed) for a mere $990 vs. the advertised retail $1,495. The Polestar addition is very worthwhile as we test drove non Polestar T6 before ordering our T6+Polestar and I can say the difference is very noticeable and enjoyable. To get the full Polestar performance one should use gasoline with 91+ -- however, it will run just fine on regular 87 as well.

The MY2012 XC70 comes with Safe&Secure plus 5 years of free maintenance.

Obviously I cannot provide real long term reliability for this auto -- but will say because of the many electronic gizmos in this car it's best to acquire an extended warranty that covers these types of things. They can be very expensive to repair/replace etc.
