I've just bought a 2004 XC70 and whilst cornering I feel movement in the steering that I have to correct. Any ideas?
Try to articulate a bit better, I (and probably most everyone else) will have no idea what that's supposed to mean
If you mean that you have looseness in the steering that is most noticeable during cornering there could be any number of things that could be causing it. Typical things in the XC chassis are wear in the tie rods (both inner and outer ends), wheel bearings, A-arm bushes. Perhaps less typical would be subframe bushes. Or a combination of all the above on higher mileage cars.
The easy answer would be to do a through check of your front suspension and see what's going on.

You're guessing as to what he's really trying to say (which I haven't a clue)
He needs to be more specific (and post his mileage)
