It's very nice but I hate what you're using for pictures, too small and they won't expand.
You should open a Photobucket account and post those.

If that were my car I would have found a way to get dark carpets, The other thing that bothers me on all these cars since 08 with a light interior is the light tan wheel and steering column.

I always said to myself that if I ever got one of these with the light tan interior I would get those parts in all black.
(Won't get dirty and I think the contrast would look great)
Anyhow, nice wagon and interesting plpace.
Like mine, very "woodsie" but different, more jungle like

The light leather wheels get dirty but the positive benefit of that is you notice it and probably will clean it.
A 1995 960 light tan interior/light tan wheel wagon I have has a prisitine wheel as I have wiped it with a damp rag pretty regularly since it was new. It is a car that has seen maybe 45 days sheltered (airport parking) since I got it in 1994. It would get nasty looking and I'd wipe it clean with nothing more than a wetted cloth.

    Light carports, not so much.

The car looks very nice, now looking forward to seeing the interior.
I have to agree though about the light tan steering wheel.
My previous XC70 had one and that showed, however it was cleaned with a Leather Wipe cloth that kept it looking good, but now the black leather wheel still gets a leather wipe cloth over it but not as often.

    Meanwhile: Insurance costs!

Yep, my current annual premium is......
£253 or $411 at current exch rate.
    Sorry!

Pretty! I want one of the new T6 XC70's so bad. My '07 T5 is slow and it needs less sidewall on the tire lol plus the 2.5L is much less fun than the older 2.4L even though it has way more torque and a bit more horse.

Again, nice car, nice choice, hope it sees mud! (or snow) These things make great mud boggers!

Holy sensors batman! So this is how China plans to get U.S. intelligence now

Does that thing upload straight to streetview? Be careful where you park it, don't want to catch any indiscretions. Volvo will decline warranty work on moral grounds

On a more serious note. That's an excellent color combo. I agree that light colored stalks and controls on the wheel would really suffer in my world, hopefully they clean up easily.

Congratulations! enjoy it. WA is a great place to do some serious unimproved road touring.

I forgot that my auto Ins includes an Umbreller policy for my boat that cost me $196/yr. Thus the $917-$196 or some $721/£444 is my actual car's annual premium... which is still higher than yours, but we aren't maybe comparing Apple to Apple without knowing the Ins coverage details etc.

Policy is: Fully Comprehensive with no excess to pay if in an accident, legal cover including recovery of out of pocket expenses, foreign cover for 180 days per trip, medical expenses, personal accident benefits, windscreen/window glass replacement cover.

Sounds like Belt, Braces (Suspenders) & a couple of pieces of rope, but it's all there, what you might call Bomb Proof!

Wouldn't UK coverage have all the medical costs stripped out with public health care?
Or does UK have no lobbyists hanging around with Parliament?

It could be that the `medical expenses' are those above and beyond what the NHS agrees to pay.

My policy is similar to XCovlov70's except towing is covered by Volvo's Road Service as part of the new Volvo purchase. I used to have multiple car discount but now we have but one auto that discount went poof. I do get discount as I insure my house with same auto Ins Co. My wife and I could take a Driver's Education course and get maybe a $100 discount, and we shall do that over next year.

    Sorry Guys!
I cannot comment on the Medical Expenses at the moment, but I will find out.
I am about 10,000 Miles from home and won't be back for 5 weeks.

'Flamenco Red' meanwhile is enjoying a 'wheels up' rest before we set off again!
