HELP - Tow Bar(Hitch) options and info

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and new to my Jul 2007 XC70 D5 SE Geartronic (purchased end Nov 11).

I cannot get any sensible answer out of Volvo UK for the actual towball height when the OEM unit is fitted to an XC70. It seems that the part number is the same for the V70, but as that car is 2"-3" lower I am concerned for the balance of my double-axle 10" wheel boat trailer.

Can anyone on the UK side of the pond advise me on any details or provide details of aftermarket products that would give me an adjustable ball height to suit my particular load.

When I was in the Uk then the only adjustable tow hitch that I would use is the Dixon Bate adustable hitch. Dont know how well it would work on the XC but I had a Mondeo estate that I fitted it to and it worked very well
