    Default Misfiring on cylinder #1

Hello, I'm new to the forum scene and thought I'd give it a shot. My girlfriend has a 2001 V70XC (B5244T3) with about 160,000 miles on it. While she's driving in drive, and even worse in reverse, it's shuttering. She took it to Oil Can Henry's to diagnose the check engine light. They came up with the code that it's misfiring on cylinder #1 (which I'm assuming is the code P0301?). I've searched around a bit on Google and have seen a couple of threads discussing the same problem. They seem to be pointing in four areas of concern: the spark plugs, the coil pack, the fuel injectors, and the ignition coil itself. I was wondering what my best bet would be to start solving the problem. Right now I'm leaning toward replacing the fuel injectors first. Any Ideas for me? Thank you in advance.

Replace the coil pack. 95% chance that is it. Quick and cheap to do yourself. Don't pay someone else to do it. Search on here for instructions......in less than a 1/2 hr you wil be back and 100%. I keep a spare in the back along with the tools to change one on the road. Once you have done it once, 10mins on the side of the road in the dark with a flashlight no problem!

Coil packs are notorious to fail on these cars............

Concur with 8pack. Most likely case.

Further, if you want to diagnose a bit before spending any $$, then swap the coil pack with another cylinder..and see if the misfire moves with it...

Yes, I did that when cylinder #3 pack in mine triggered a P0303. By moving, the code changed so it's the ignition coil so I replaced and all is fine.
