Hi everyone, unfortunatly i don't have pics of it, but i really like the cup holder light on our new 2005 xc70. On my 2006 v70, it just has a small light-green light shining from the drivers side located between where the 2 cupholders are.
On my wifes xc, if doesn't have the light like i do, instead it has a cool green light encircling around the holes of the cupholders...really neet!!! anyone else have this?

My 06 OR has it too although I wasn't aware that this feature was built-in to the 05 cupholders. Nice to know that it was.

ART..yup that's what i was talking about...it's a really cool effect..but now i'm wondering if my 2006 should have it too??? i will have to check it out...

My '07 has it, as did all the '07s I looked at. I figured it was standard.

My '06 xc70 has it. light source is remote and travels through the green plexi - so if its not sitting in its spot just right or the plexi is cracked, the light wont shine through properly...

I was one of the "uplift" additions or changes on the 2005 and up models... sorry ocean racer get a new console! LOL

My '07 XC70 has this feature/effect and it is pretty cool however, it does not appear to circle the entirety of both cupholders, rather just the passenger side of the cuphoder as seen in the attached photo above. It is possible my driver's side stopped illuminating or does everybody generally acknowledge that only one-half of the cupholder is shrouded in green light?

During my project to install GPS, popup screen and an IMIV I swapped out the green LED in the cup holder for a white one.
The LED is located between the front and read cup holders on the passenger side. The clear plastic insert is almost illuminated all the way around, but it definitely looks best from the drivers side.
