As long as it meets ACEA...preferably A3/B3...throw some non-spec 10W40 in there, you're asking for major trouble. Viscosity is not nearly as important as the specification (additives) that the oil meets.

after study, I m good to go with 10W30 keeping the climate temp as key factor.
I am really happy with Pennzoil 5W30 (conventional). I change oil/filter every 4-months for urban life - an overkill maybe. Now after reading Astro's link, Bob has * on it under non-synthetic, i.e. recommended. Fuel is 93 Premium on my two cars.
