Can I, or can't I have the dealer reprogram the mirror on my 2001 V70 XC to make it go darker at night? i thought i read here that it IS possible on a 2001. he looked at me like i had 3 eyes...

I suggest you go to a new dealer.
These have been adjustable BY THE DEALER from MY 2001 thru current model year
I suggest you call Volvo, they will call your moronic dealer and tell him how to do it.
However...
Since he knows nothing about this do you really trust him with your car?

The Service Mangler at my local Volvo Dealer gave me the same look. I explained that I read about it on the web, and he went off on a tirade complaining that you cant believe anything on the Internet. I almost told him that I am an IT Technician by trade, but I quickly realized that since he knows so much about his job, then he must know a bunch about mine. I have since found an Indie that seems to know his stuff!

thats what i thought... i will have a word with him, then never go back, there are a couple well known mechanics in the area who work on volvo's... thanks for the replies
