    Default Front mud flaps

Called my dealer to check into these and they said the part # for a V70 front mud flap excluded the awd models. Seems to me it would bolt right on. Anyone mounted these?? Thanks.

I put on a set of Volvo OEM front mud flaps on my 2004 when it was new. I don't recall if they were specific to the XC70. They use pop rivets for the install.

I think I got them here:

Personally i dislike these new stiff mud flaps, i liked the old stile ones made of rubber that just "flap" about. My reason for it, is that it takes away from the cars ability to go over bumps without actually damaging something. For example, if you back up over the nice little pile of snow the plow leaves at the end of your driveway the evening before a good frost, you tear them off. If you choose to descend over a curb, the car will flatten those things up, .. in my experience, those are the only parts of the car that i tend to scuff up and look bad, .. but that's just me.

I have them on two XC's with a total of 180K miles between the and the only time I have had a problem was when The surface actually gave way beneath my 03XC and it ended up resting on the installed front skid plate. After we towed the car out, one was still attached and the other had come off but is intact. They are very sturdy!-Dick

I stopped by the dealer today and the V70 front ones will not work because the moulding on the door does not match the fit of the flap.
The XC part # you gave looks like what I will need so I got a pair ordered.
    Thanks for the info!!

Yes, they should fit (I just found the invoice of the mudflaps I added on my car, the part numbers match!)
