H9 - that means your car is a 2005-2007, right?
You're out of luck there. I don't recall ever finding an HIR replacement for those. H9 is unshielded, higher wattage and shorter life. That's about it.
The low-beams are H11s, correct? Those can be replaced with H9s for a little more oomph, but less longevity.
I ended up getting the European S60 headlights on my car (my plastic was faded & headlights done for) and found out that they use the H7 bulbs so that opens up a world of options.
PIAA offers some brighter lights and I had hoped to find someone that has tried them.
i have upgraded the low beams and have clear lens that really help.
recently found some upgrades for the fog light bulbs but havent tackled the install yet and hope to use a friends hoist (!)
*any helpful hints for replacing the fog bulbs??
thanks, tc
PIAA is junk.

The foglights are useless (we even had fog here the other day, they're useless even for the specific purpose they were installed for).

still looking for help on how to replace the bulb in the 07 xc70 fog lamps
thanks, tc
Here you go. Reference Page 202 here(http://volvo.custhelp.com/app/manual...nual/om_id/455) or go to your physical owners manual, if you have one.
