Hmm, lets' see, maybe because he's had it for 3-4 years?

or...he's had his share of 04 R problems with a dealer that is incapable of fixing them?

It never fails to amaze me why people ask someone why they are selling a car?
Maybe if the car is three months old from new it's a legitimate question, but that would be about it in my book, they want to get rid of it for whatever their own reasons are.

When I was (much) younger I would sell cars every 6-9 months, why, I just got tired of them
and wanted something else, it was as simple as that

Actually this car belongs to my brother, I was trying to help him sale it. I personally own a 2001 V70 XC and have been around Volvo's most of my adult life.
