The mirror surface is held on with sturdy, Velcro-like material and can just be peeled off. Replacements are available separately. I don't know of any other parts that are available in separates.
Sounds like a ballast failing. You can pick up used ones on eBay for not too much money. Then swap it out and find out if it cures the problem.

You can buy a used switchblade on eBay and swap your key blade and electronics into it so you don't have to have it reprogrammed. There are several websites around that show how to disassemble one.
