Well, still driving on original battery (117k) and rather then replaing battery, well decied to replace .. car. Getting new '09 v70 xc T6 on Thursday. Old one drives fine but wife loves new design.
I have follow the same fixing procedure and at the ned used electric tape to secure harnes in two places to the hinge. Hope that would prevent it from being pinched by hinge again.
