pulling the cem to send to xemodex. i've watched their tutorial on removal from an '07. i've come down thru the cowl and removed connector, screws, etc. i've got a couple of connector to remove...
i found the culprits, broken wires in the harness from the a-pillar to the door. to give more working room i removed the door. this is a piece of cake, 3 bolts. as i expected, it is pretty heavy. ...
thanks so much. this was a thought as the switch is operational when the door is open.
just to confirm, you found blu/wht was broken and this is power to the switch. this is also position 2 in...
i've been searching have not found much related to the '08 xc70. found info related to the s40 and v50 of earlier model years. window and lock controls do not work when the drivers door is closed. ...
thanks for the latest insight. my car is an '05 xc70. and thanks for all the links to XeMODeX. i have cleared the codes multiple times. i will clear again tomorrow and see what i get specific to...
i don't seem to have communication with the BCM. it is greyed out in VIDA. i think my next step will be to replace the relays on the CEM. where did you buy these?
another question, do you have...
nice cataloging of your issue. i'm battling the same "no brakes" error. will replace the brake position sensor this week. are you sending the BCM or another module off to XEMODEX?
i bought from this seller on ebay,
computer_psycho
i then downloaded the VM Ware 2012 version from MVS,

i'm running is...
i still have an awd issue. my aoc pump was dead and i replaced it today. before replacing, i did run through the XEMODEX troubleshooting procedure to confirm.
today, once the old pump was out,...
thanks guys. abs is definitely out, along with cruise.
in vida, i can definitely see when i depress the brake pedal. would this indicate that the brake pedal sensor is functioning properly? or...
152k on the clock. dealing with these errors among others. thinking the brake pedal position sensor may be the culprit. is there a way to test this sensor?
also, i've been driving around town...
thanks. i did remove the bolts so the bearing was off. i also remove the bolts for the plate that the bearing mounts to. it seemed as though i needed just another 1/2 inch or so to get it out of...
ready to replace my aoc pump, i can't seem to get the prop shaft out from the flange. i've got it loose, i've got the center bearing loose. i just can't get the clearance from the flange. can...
thanks. is your awd out?
battling the same dem issue. vtl has been most helpful. when you guys experienced your issue, did you ever get a cel or other dash fault?
thanks, good call on the anti-sieze. definitely replacing pads while i'm there.
thanks bill, i figured this was the case.
any other pitfalls i should be aware of? it seems like a pretty straightforward job. i'll be working with a short timeline, like hours, with no ability...
thanks bill, that cold have been a royal pita.
it looks like i just need to remove the locating pin (and caliper) and then a slip fit between the rotor hub and axle hub. is this correct? if so,...
i am preparing to replace the front rotors, it looks like there is only a center a bolt securing the rotor. is it as simple a removing this bolt and beating to remove? also is the passenger side...
i believe there are 5 blade type fuses in that box. they are numbered, which one is it. as mentioned, at what point in the starting procedure does the fuse blow? in what position is the key?
when you turn the key to the "on" position, the fuel pump should run for a couple of seconds, do you hear it?
i would agree, definitely get a code scanner. if you don't want to part with a c-note or more, i bought one for about 50 bucks on ebay. granted, it is a low end model with minimal capabilities. ...
why does the dealer say a new cat and o2 sensors are required? have you thrown the cel? if so, what codes were thrown?
with a bad cat your emissions could potentially be higher. this could lead...
