I've had my XC90 for three years now, and very happy with the car.
It did occur to me last year that the addition of a plastic or aluminium kick plate in the rear door body section would be a good...
We have an XC90 2.5 diesel bought in October '04.
We have not yet had any recall work done by our dealer since collection.
Is there anything they've 'forgotten' to let us know about?
I've got the Nokia 616 installed in my other car; it's a very discrete and effective bit of kit.

The wiper blades on my '04 XC90 need relacement, so a Halfords trip offered up some Bosche blades.
Wasted journey, as they don't have the right plastic fittings, even though the notes on the...
Take the spare key fob with you? This would probably work, but you always run the risk of having the car stolen as leaving it unattended, key in the ignition presents an obvious invitation to some...
I used these guys when visiting the states last year. Recommended and a bit cheaper than others:

Having sent my wife off down to Micheldever Tyres with a bit of paper specifying Pirelli Scorpions (which Micheldever told me they had in stock yesterday), I find that they've stuck Continental...
Lancaster have always been excellent during the one service and two warranty issues they have done for me. Car picked up and valeted. Not cheap by any means, but that's a Surrey main dealer for you....
After a lot of phoning around, I reckon that Michedever Tyres (not too far from you) do the best deal. Pirelli Scorpions, fully fitted, at £118 per unit. The cheapest Contis I could find were...
Just found a nail on the left rear tyre and a small screw in the right rear (leading edge)
Given that the front tyres are looking tired after about 18k, it looks like all four are due for...
I think if there is evidence of impact damage then the dealer has, with some justification, the right not to deal with it under warranty. It's not unreasonable as the mirror could well have be...
Lancaster in Pirbright. I suspect they may be your dealer given your address :)
Rusted wheelnuts are a recognised problem. Mine have gone this way, and according to my dealer there was a very large batch of defective bolts fitted by Volvo.
They should be replaced under...
One of my rear seats stuck fast in the upright position recently, but fixed under warrantly. Apparently a known fault.
Don't know where you live, but a quick Google search found this outfit in the US who may fit the bill:

Bet you they'll always fight over who goes in the rear two seats. My three certainly do.
How much were they if you don't mind me asking? The local Kwik Fit quoted me a shade over £200 per tyre for the Contis!
Got a puncture fixed recently by KwikFit, and idly asked what a new one would cost. Staggered to be quoted a little over £200 (that's knocking on US$400) per tyre for the Continentals that came with...
Had this on my XC90 after driving through a deep puddle, something which shouldn't theoretically cause problems. The car limped on for around five miles before slowly getting to normal. No trouble...
Thanks; I won't even think of tackling the seat belt, but the light cluster appears to lift out easily if the handbook is to be believed.
If the part number is the same in the US and the UK, then...
Can any UK (or US, for that matter, as I am travelling over a fair bit and can order online) member advise on the cheapest source of parts? My wife has just reversed the car into some low branches,...
Just spotted the front passenger seatbelt has a serious 'v' shaped gouge on the lower section, accompanied with slight fraying in two places further up. All on a three month old car which has been...
Thanks, Botanique.
The velcro trial has failed dismally. I mounted the extinguisher in the same area you pictured, but rather predictably it comes loose regularly.
Do you know what type of...
Off topic maybe, but the car is one of the few places I can have a decent conversation with the kids. In this day and age, time is a precious commodity and I always make the point of having the radio...
Why don't you buy one of the portable units? There's a selection now coming with dual screens that hang off the front seat.
My kids get enough TV without it being on demand in the car, so I'm...
