    01 seats are significantly more comfortable and softer than 03 and newer. I don't think this translates to sagging into the seat more than a marginal amount, but wonder if this may be the cause....

    Plus money spent keeping it in 'new' condition, or as far as that is possible, is usually cheaper than the depreciation costs of a new car plus its own maintenance expenses.
