Bluetooth / HU 603

I was looking into installing the OEM telephone unit in my car but as I learned from the forum this is a rather expensive 'up-grade'. The US Volvo webpage is advertising the bluetooth devise which seems a very nice alternative. However, it doesn't seem to be fitting the 2001 XC cars. Anybody knows why? I have the HU 603 sound system installed.

Talking about the HU 603. I didn't find anywhere in the manual the HU 603. All other systems (HU 613, 803, 850 etc.) mentioned but no HU 603. Is this a system specifically for certain markets?
