I have a 2000 xc with about 68500 miles. *Took it in for routine maintenance and they said needed upper engine mounts replaced. *I said do it. *They went to replace upper engine mounts and said that don't need new upper engine mounts need new casing and as it was out of warranty it would cost me $3,000. *Seems odd to me to have afailure of this magnitude this early in cars life. *Admittedly, I do not know much about cars, but always had car serviced at dealership. *This just doesn't seem right to me. *Any ideas anyone? I am checking to see if Volvo will stand behind their product, but would like your advise too.
